The Pappa Files:  “Dying is Overrated. Murder Is Not”

Sep 23, 2024

Pappa Date: September 21, 2024. Somewhere in Winchester, Virginia.

In my most recent blog, The Return of the Dead Detective Casefiles, I reintroduced you to Oliver “Tuck” Tucker and his adventures as a dead detective. The first three novels, published ten years ago, have been off the market for about 8 years after my first publisher went out of business. But, fear not, Tuck is back!

Yesterday, Tuck and his first three cases—Dying to Know, Dying for the Past, and Dying to Tell (see a pattern here?) went up for pre-order. (See links below).

Now, I know what you’re thinking… what next? Well, the answer comes from the category of “Be careful what you wish for…” In February, my new thriller, The Whisper Legacy, releases. Then, in September 2025, the next Dead Detective Casefile arrives—Dying With A Secret. And following annually, another casefile and another and another. In there somewhere, I’ll have a sequel to The Whisper Legacy, too.

So, pay attention! Lots coming from my amazing publisher, Level Best Books!

Here are the buy links for The Dead Detective Casefiles:

Or, if you’re local to Frederick County, VA, go see Christine at the Winchester Book Gallery in Old Town! She’ll hook you up with any or all of my books.

Until next time, Yasoo, Adieu, Adios, and all that—see ya soon and be safe!

Welcome

I first fell in love with writing while in grade school and over the years continued to dabble with characters and stories whenever life allowed. Lately, I've focused my energy on pursuing this dream—interrupted only by life as a security consultant and the demands of two Labrador retrievers.
